Welcome Message

Dear Members of the Korean Society of Food Preservation,

Dear Members of the Korean Society of Food Preservation and Distribution,

Since its foundation on September 26, 1992, the Korean Society of Food Preservation and Distribution has grown significantly, now representing over 2,500 members and serving as a key academic and industrial force in the fields of food storage, processing, and distribution.

We are pleased to invite you to the 46th International Symposium and Annual Meeting, to be held from August 27 (Wednesday) to 29 (Friday), 2025, at The Ocean Hotel & Resort in Yeosu, under the theme: "Transforming Food Science with Next-Gen Technologies from Concept to Application.”

This year’s symposium will feature a keynote lecture by Professor Dimitris Charalampopoulos of the University of Reading (UK), along with award lectures, the Korea–China–Japan Symposium, 42 academic sessions, five international sessions including one with Yanbian University, and over 350 poster presentations. Special sessions such as K-Bio Day will highlight emerging trends in green, white, and blue biotechnology. We are also strengthening academia–industry cooperation through MOUs with more than 30 companies and institutions.

To support the next generation of scientists, we are hosting graduate student oral presentation sessions, a metabolomics and metagenomics workshop, as well as undergraduate-focused programs including a career development session and capstone design competition.

We are doing our utmost to ensure a smooth and enriching experience for all attendees. Shuttle services will operate between Yeocheon Station and the venue, and cultural programs will be offered to help participants enjoy the beauty of Yeosu.

We encourage all participants to actively engage in sharing research, exchanging ideas, and building meaningful academic and professional connections throughout the symposium.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the organizing committee, sponsors, presenters, session chairs, and all contributors for their dedication and support.

Wishing you all health, happiness, and continued success.

Sincerely,
Kang, Sung-Kuk, President, KSFP
